NEW SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS OPEN

Territory businesses can now access support under two new grant programs to rebound strongly from COVID-19 and adapt to new market conditions.

The Business Saver Grant and Supply Chain Solver are NOW OPEN for eligible Territory businesses.

This new support is part of a suite of programs being delivered under the Northern Territory Government’s Jobs First Plan deigned to support local businesses and create new jobs.

BUSINESS SAVER GRANT

The Business Saver grant is now available for business to adapt to the new economic environment, reduce ongoing expenses and increase profitability through improvement of procedures, systems and use of new technologies in order to assist in reaching new markets. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $10,000 on a 50:50 co-contribution basis, to be assessed on a competitive basis.

SUPPLY CHAIN SOLVER

The Small Business Supply Chain Solver is available to assist with funding to build resilient and smart supply chains through infrastructure, new technologies, upskilling of employees or supply chain analysis. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $10,000 on a 50:50 co-contribution basis, to be assessed on a competitive basis.

SMALL BUSINESS CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE (CX) GRANT- Applications closing soon

A one-off grant available for businesses seeking to enhance their customer experience through front-of-house improvements. The Small Business Customer Experience Grant will be offered through a competitive process, with grants of up to $20,000 available on a 50:50 co-contribution basis.

JOBMAKER BOOSTER

The Northern Territory Government’s JobMaker Booster will provide funding to boost the Australian Government’s JobMaker Hiring Credit Scheme so that eligible employees of all ages can attract the full $200 per week.

This is a two-step application process:

Step 1: Employers need to first register with the Australian Government’s JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme.

Step 2. For the NT JobMaker Booster scheme, registration and claims will be in two stages:

  • Registration will start from 26 February 2021 and can be made at www.businessrecovery.nt.gov.au

  • The first claims can then be made from 1 April 2021 onwards for the period January to March 2021.

SMALL BUSINESS SURVIVAL SURVIVAL PAYMENT

The Small Business Survival Paymentprovides businesses significantly impacted by the coronavirus with funding to help them survive, adapt and prepare for the economic rebound. One-off payments of between $2000 and $20,000 are available.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT TOURISM ATTRACTION SURVIVAL PAYMENT

The Not-for-Profit Tourism Attraction Survival Payment has been established to support not-for-profit tourist attractions such as non-government museums and historical sites. One-off payments of between $2000 and $20,000 will support eligible organisations significantly impacted by COVID-19, and are able to demonstrate a reduction in turnover.
