We are pleased to announce new flight capacity under the International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) from Darwin to Brisbane with Toll.
Notionally, these flights will operate for six weeks (review at 2 weeks) under the following schedule:
o Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
o Departing DRW 1745 > arriving BNE 2205
o Commencing 9 June
What do I need to do?
To access these flights please contact your own freight forwarder or Toll direct.
The IFAM is not intended to fully offset the increase in freight costs to pre-COVID- 19 levels. The Australian Government is meeting a portion of the airfreight costs, however, you will need to make a financial contribution towards the cost of your freight. This cost is likely to be more than pre-COVID airfreight rates.
The Airline rate(s) take into account the Australian Government contribution to these flights. These rates may be subject to change, please check the IFAM website for future updates.
Freight rates for IFAM space – applicable to perishable shipments
Route AUD / kg
Darwin to Brisbane (Toll) $0.95 – for volume between 1kg to 2000kg
$0.85 – for volume above 2000kg
Additionally, $20 fee per lodgment (including security fee of $2.50) and fuel surcharge of 5.14%
Please note: The above rates are for the air freight component only.
Please be in touch if we can help you with any further details.
