Dear Members,

 

AIDN National & Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) brings members a presentation from Craig Gillies. Craig will be discussing the ACSC, and the importance of cyber security for SMEs and other organisations in the Defence industry. Members will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. The webinar will be just over 30 minutes and be moderated by AIDN National CEO Brent Clark.

 

Craig is the inaugural Director of the Australian Signals Directorate’s (ASD’s) Technical Advice and Uplift – Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Home Users Section, as part of the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). He manages a multi-disciplinary team to identify and deliver unique initiatives to improve the cyber resilience of Australia’s more than 2 million small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to this role, Craig was responsible Public-Private Partnerships in the ACSC, where he led strategic reviews of the ACSC’s assessment, certification and evaluations functions, as well as leading Australia’s cyber security engagement within the International Watch and Warning Network and Usual Five.



Prior to joining the ASD, Craig has held a number of roles in the Commonwealth Government, including the Attorney-General’s Department, Geoscience Australia, [the then] Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, and a number of years in the Royal Australian Air Force, working in operational and command units around Australia and overseas.



Craig holds qualifications in Public Policy and Management, Government, and Air Force Studies.
