Grant is a senior executive who has worked for medium and large organisations managing teams of diverse individuals. As a General Manager, Operational and Contract executive Grant has accumulated over 30 years’ experience, been a productive member of National Executive Management Teams with the responsibility and accountability for managing 23 sites and over 650 employees servicing the Defence industry. With a sound understanding and passion for the leadership of people and belief a solid stable workforce is the foundation to success a leaders greatest strengths is the ability to engage people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience to create a team of people that work together effectively. Within his career Grant has been responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams including transport and logistics, maintenance, manufacturing, hospitality, estate management, security, warehouse and contract management. Roles have included liaising with all stakeholders including Defence and Government personnel, contractors, managers, employees, and unions.
A key driver maximising performance and delivering positive improvements to business outcomes through rationalising and reengineering operations, introducing financial controls to lower cost structures which in turn has effectively enhanced all KPIs as well as budgeting outcomes. The success achieved to date is through analysing operational processes utilising Lean Principles with a view of eliminating waste through all aspects of operations ensuring goals are being met and operations are sustainable. Grant has often served as a catalyst for organisational culture change, advocating for improvements in client service/satisfaction, workplace safety, and professionalism to meet and exceed all stakeholder needs.
